About The Position
Anxiety Focused Treatment
- Conducts evidence-based therapy for anxiety, OCD, and related disorders, including exposure and response prevention (ERP) and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT).
- Works with children, teens & conducts meetings with parents to support the child with evidence-based tools.
- Consults with pediatricians, prescribers, & school personnel/learning specialists and clinics regarding patient care.

- Writes treatment plans for patients that are easily understood and backed by evidence-based practice.
- Participates in training programs as a supervisor for trainees and unlicensed staff (i.e., doctoral students at various times of the year provide therapy as well). *This is not required, but desired capacity for someone who enjoys training/mentoring.*
Clinical Psychologist Qualifications / Skills:
- Experienced in evidence-based practice with pediatric and adolescent populations, including working with parents
- Experienced in treating anxiety disorders using Exposure & Response Prevention (ERP) and CBT
- Experienced in diagnosing and treating Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD)
- Friendly demeanor
- Excellent verbal communication
- Building relationships
- Excellent documentation skills
- Adherent to the APA’s Ethical Principles of Psychologists and Code of Conduct
Education, Experience, and Licensing Requirements:
- PsyD or PhD in clinical psychology
- Hold a full and active license to practice as a psychologist in the state of Oregon.
- Internship and/or postdoctoral fellowship in clinical child psychology or pediatric psychology (postdoctoral fellows are also encouraged to apply)
- Experience working with children and adolescents in an outpatient setting such as: children’s hospital, primary care medical clinics, private practice or group practice with children/adolescents, or an inpatient consultation/liaison role at a children’s hospital or clinic
Work Hours and Benefits:
Seeking a candidate who is able to work a minimum of 15 hours per week providing patient care for the psychotherapist position. The position is flexible and a clinician may elect to work as many hours as desired beyond 15 hours/week. Additional bonuses are available for clinicians who desire to work more than 20 hours/week. General clinic hours are between Monday through Friday between 8am-5pm, with therapy services extending beyond 5pm several days per week.Â
Weekend hours are also available for clinicians and patients who prefer to have this option. For licensed clinical psychologists providing therapy, we are seeking someone who is available to work two late afternoons or early evenings per week. There is flexibility with which days and hours are chosen (i.e., which days clinicians choose to work later hours or come in later.) Services occur in our office and there is an opportunity to provide telehealth, yet many of our patients appreciate being in-person for therapy.
