Dr. Stephanie Garcia, Psy.D.

Dr. Stephanie Garcia earned her PsyD in clinical psychology from Pacific University School of Graduate Psychology where she was a member of the child and adolescent specialty track. Dr. Garcia completed an APA-accredited internship at Community Health of Central Washington, which specialized in the integration of behavioral health services into primary care settings. She then completed her postdoctoral fellowship within the Pediatric Anxiety Treatment Clinic at Oregon Health & Science University (OHSU). During fellowship, Dr. Garcia worked with children and adolescents experiencing anxiety disorders, obsessive-compulsive disorder, and posttraumatic stress disorders congruent with a variety of other difficulties, such as behavioral difficulties, attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), depression, and tics.
Dr. Garcia specializes in providing therapy services to children, adolescents, and young adults who experience emotional and behavioral difficulties. She emphasizes evidence-based behavioral approaches while consistently considering an individual’s sociocultural context. Dr. Garcia has specialized training and interests in the treatment of anxiety, obsessive-compulsive disorder, and trauma from a cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) perspective with Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP). She also has specialized training in behavioral therapy and parent behavior management training. Dr. Garcia is passionate about working alongside youth, families, and young adults to help optimize their overall functioning and wellbeing.
Dr. Garcia was born and raised in Southern California and moved to Oregon to attend graduate school. In her free time, Dr. Garcia enjoys spending time with loved ones, trying out new coffee shops and restaurants, watching/listening to mysteries and thrillers, and attending live entertainment/sporting events.
